It all started innocently enough. With little fanfare,
the wild and crazy Red Hatters started showing up
at Jimmy's concerts.
It was definitely love at first sight!
His signature voice, always golden, continues to
draw audiences into his music. His music, with
several of rock `n roll's most memorable hits, are
more timeless today than ever wherever he
performs. It was perfect for the Red Hat women who
attended.
And the spirit with which he entertains is
contagious. Everyone, regardless of age, is instantly
transported back to the first time they heard "Just a
Dream," "Go Jimmy Go," "Venus in Blue Jeans" and
his other hit songs. It was that way time after time
with the Red Hatters.
On a whim, Jimmy decided to try putting together a
few songs created especially for these amazing
women with the Red Hats on. Basic music tracks for
the sessions were recorded in North Carolina. Then
on one special day in early November, Jimmy
stepped into a Houston-area studio and the songs
blazed to life.
We tried the tunes out on a few Red Hatters who had
no idea what was on the test CDs until they popped
them in their stereo players. The response was
amazing, and soon we began getting deluged with
requests for the CD (that wasn't finished yet)!
Then Jimmy started adding the songs to concerts
where more and more Red Hat women were filling
seats. More CD requests! There has been no looking
back since then.
There's been a love affair
going on between Jimmy
and the Red Hatters since,
and they never seem to get
enough of the Red Hat
songs!

and-dirty guitar licks.
- Then came "The Hat and Heart Song," a brand-
new song with whimsical roots in the Big Band
era.

a little disco, rhythm and blues and funky ole
soul!"
